Middlesbrough Bus Station is the bus and coach hub of Middlesbrough and the Tees Valley - owned and operated by Middlesbrough Borough Council. A recent refurbishment programme included new lighting and flooring, an extended express passenger lounge and improved public information systems.
It is next to the new Captain Cook Square Shopping Centre and across the road from the Hill Street Centre.
Local buses provide regular links within Middlesbrough and to most major towns in the north-east, including Darlington, Durham, Newcastle, Bishop Auckland, Northallerton, Hartlepool, Stockton, Redcar, Guisborough, Whitby and Scarborough.
