The Safer Middlesbrough Partnership


During 2005 following a series of discussions and consultation exercises, the Middlesbrough Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership, and the Middlesbrough Drug Action Team have merged into one Community Safety Partnership, the 'Safer Middlesbrough Partnership'.

This new partnership deals with all issues related to Drugs, Alcohol and Crime in Middlesbrough. Acting as the Creating Safer and Stonger Communities Action Group of the Local Strategic Partnership and through a structure consisting of Problem Solving Groups and Themes Groups will take forward the local Crime, Disorder, Drug and Alcohol Strategy 2005 - 2008.

The ‘Safer Middlesbrough Partnership’ has a shared vision of harnessing the energy and expertise of local agencies, from the public, private, voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors, to develop a safer and stronger community in which residents, families and businesses can thrive.
