Unemployment, debt and home repossession are just some of the problems faced by the millions of people every day, as job insecurity becomes more widespread and wages or benefits fail to cover the cost of living.
The CAB in Middlesbrough helps people to tackle to their problems head on, with advice, information and practical support. As well as working with clients to sort out their individual problems, the CAB Service works to change services and policies which are failing.
A drop-in service operates at the times given below. Clients are given a number by the receptionist and then wait for a short interview to assess the problem.
It may be possible to help the client on the day with information. If required, an appointment will be made to return for a full advice interview.
Many bureaux now have a short introductory interview to help decide how you can be best advised. You may then be asked to make an appointment. If the bureau is open only for appointments or specialist advice this will be indicated in the notes.
